Hijack our food...

Recently, Malaysia Tourism Minister Ng Yen Yen made this statement to The Star newspaper, "We cannot continue to let other countries hijack our food"

Are they trying to start a war?? Basically, a normal Singaporean will not work up by such kind of political statement. But I am angry by this statement... Who is the creator of that dish, nobody have a clear answer. How do you proof that it is yours???

It is damn stupid to make that statement. But what surprise me is my mom reactions. She said that during the 60's Malaysia do not have Bak Kut Teh. When she comes to Singapore then she tried Bak Kut Teh. She is so angry with the Minister statement that she ask her to eat shit...

Yup, my mom is a bit over. I am not claiming that those food belong to ours but why made such statement and irritate your neighbours. Are you trying to isolate yourself? I am unsure how others neighbouring countries think but I am not the only one feeling this way.

Are Malaysia Government backing her up?? Or sooner or later, the government may state that, that is her personal opinion and ask her to step down from her post.

I am considering whether to step into Malaysia again or not. At least, until they are able to give me a satisfied answer.
