Why people scare of ghost?

I always wonder why people never see ghost in their whole life but they are scare of ghost. It is unlike cockroachs, they are pest which you have see it with you eyes and it can fly. They may fly towards you and scare you.

I believe that it must be the movies that was shown on TV when I am young. I always remember some of the movies like '开心鬼' & ' 僵尸道长'. Those funny and scary movies, making me afraid of sleeping alone and etc.

When we enter teenage period, classmates will hold chalet in downtown east which make us wanted to visit Old Changi Hospital and red house. Due to some strange things happen to us during our night visti to Old Changi Hospital. Hence, I really believe there are another dimension in this world.

In the recent years, we got to contact with more ghost movies for other countries. The most famous will be 'The Ring'. Soon Thai movies is getting even more scary... Well, all this only happen when we are young adults but why do we scare of ghost in sub-conscious state?

I managed to find out the reason only in this few days. All happen when Eugene boy come to stay with us for a week, where both parents are overseas. I observed that he never dare to go into the room without lights on or nobody is in the room. Well, he is only 3 years old kid. Therefore, he is not that 'adventurous' to go in to the room (Thank god). All because of my brother, his daddy keep on telling him that there are 'ghosts' in this world. 'Ghosts' like to kidnap young children. Then rest of the family members will said something to synchonise with his daddy words. I will mentioned something like 'ghost will kidnap naughty children especally 白白嫩嫩 children'. Then my mom will said things like 'since you already know the room got ghost, why you still go in' and 'quick, go inside the room and sleep (eugene bedroom) else the ghost will come and catch you. Lame, those ghosts are very busy lor...

The main reasons are, to restrict the movement of the children and do things according to the adult wish. Well, children can't stay in the room alone, who knows what will happen. However, children loves to run around, touch here and there and finally destroy things. Thus, parents will mentioned things like ghost and monster to their children.

I am absolutely unable to remember what my parents had told me when I was young. But this maybe the reason that I am afraid of ghost. If that is the case, this is a vicious cycle but i agreed that it is an effective method to control kids.

A note to all those parents and parents to be, please remember that what you have told your children, regardless it is a lesson or only a joke, it have impact on the children. Whenever, I work OT and need to go to toilet, I will quickly use and rush out. This is the impact of third dimension thinking in my life.

If possible, please try to be more creative in controlling your kids. Maybe UFO is a better choice, at least got more and more movies on UFO and ET. Sometime the news will shows some of the clips of flashing lights from all over the world ma. Let them know that scientise is still studying on UFO lor, by the time they grow up will may know the truth. For example, last time people believed that 嫦娥 address is planet moon. By the time Armstrong step onto moon and unable to find her, whole world knows that there are no 嫦娥 and her rabbit thing ma. Ghost got so many version in different countries, very confusing lor. Then every country is trying to portray that their country ghost is very 'fierce', 'ugly' or got special power. Are we having a most 'fierce' ghost contest worldwide? Using UFO got more space for imaginary and creativity. At least worldwide got 'common understanding' that unknown flashes of light means UFO.

PS: The above writing is based on my observation of my eugene boy and personal idea. No need to take it too seriously.

海角七号

今日和同事们去看‘海角七号’这个电影。我是抱着‘有点看不懂’的心态去看这艺术片，但看了之后我很喜欢。

一个太迟寄出的包裹， 一个到不了的地址，一个凄美的爱情故事，一个放弃自己和梦想的青少年，一个达不到目标的女孩还有一群有着各自的故事和过去的人。但同样抱着对音乐的热忱而勉强组团。在戏里他们被形容成破铜烂铁，但每个人都有发挥自己才华的戏份。各个团员都有能力和主唱一样发光发热。

爱它的歌，爱它要标达的意思，爱它的拍摄手法和需要时间慢慢推敲它的意思。欣赏它的爱情故事和风景。

看了这个电影让我希望能在有生之年能在飞机上看到彩虹。一个能够连接东和西的桥梁，让距离感觉并不遥远。

也许你会看不懂我在写什么和充满了？？？ 它是个非看不可的电影，不要错过哦！！！

陈宝珠 and Chanel of the day

It's our company DND again. Due to the economic is bad, thus I have the feeling that we may not have DND next year. So, I spend a bomb in this year DND.

Previous years, I do not need to buy any dress especially for DND. As I may purchase some clothes specially for close friends and relative wedding. All I need to spend on is to go to auntie saloon to get my hair done.

This time round, I spent $134 for my dress. It is not specially for DND but simply love that dress. In some sense, I feel that paying such high price is worth it. Something new is that my colleagues and I hired a person to makeup and design our hair for us at the cost of $75 person each.

My colleagues will come to my house to dress up for the dinner. Hee hee... all of us putting on fake eyelashes. This is the 2nd time I put on eyelashes. The effect is the WOW thing... After the makeup and the hair do, I self-declared that I looked like 陈宝珠. The theme of the DND is retro fever. Luckily that my dress is not red, later when we go out for 2nd round, those people may feel that they saw a ghost. I have to say that my dress is not retro but with makeup and hair do, I look antique.

My boss used words like 'old' and 'auntie' to describe me. Lastly, he said looks like branded advertisement from magazine, like Chanel. Thereafter, my nickname of the night will be Chanel. (Due to he is a Japanese, so he don't know who is 陈宝珠) He requested me to take some photos that look similar to those advertisements from magazine. So I have to look high or low or anywhere except the camera and most importantly is not to smile. Soon peoples are requesting me to take some self -portrait photo of them. Due to I am Chanel of the night, Xiaowen told me not to go round the tables to take photos with the Engineers, they have to walk to us instead. Stella told me not to eat too much and foods are to be serves by others. No wonder, those models looks so beautiful, because they can't eat too much and still have to wait to be serves. But funny thing is that they don't mind me bent down, squat down to take photos of them... Anyway, we have reached a consensus only 1 person bring camera, so that there are not repetitive photos. The whole night taking photos...

After the dinner, we go for 2nd round. Weiwei is joining us for the 2nd round too. We have arranged to meet up with an ex-colleague of us. The moment I step in the pub, unavoidable to see some eyes wide open and jaws dropping people looking as me... I am not exceptional beautiful but an alien that walks into the pub. Due to weiwei driving, I accompany him by drinking tonic water only. We play until 1.30am then go home. Tired!!!

Colony houses!!!

Everyday I will take MRT to work and pass by some old houses near Buona Vista Station. Those houses should be leave behind during English colony period. Those houses are station in a sanctuary place in the middle of bustling town. They are surrounded by trees, as if they are in the middle of the forest.

In the recent construction at Buona Vista, they have tear down a few houses. What a sad thing, I always loves to look at those houses. I will imagine that, one day I will stay down there.

It give me the same feeling that as if I am in woking road. As mentioned in my previous posting, it is a very quite place that I love to go there to pick saga seeds, walk around the neighbourhood, looking at the lovely children and sit down there and do nothing.

Hee hee... A silly dream of mine.

对我而言幸福是很简单的。在血拼只后能够喝下午茶，在冷气房里避暑和吃我三叔做的菜。我一直很向往我奶奶的大寿虽然我并不喜欢我奶奶，但是我可以吃到很好吃的食物。

象拔蚌sashimi, 冷盘，鲍鱼（我吃了一粒半的鲍鱼）好肥美哦！炖乌鸡汤（好香醇），香料乳酪焗蟹脚（鲜甜），香菇乳酪焗鲜蚝（它是个中西合并的料理，有蘑菇香和鲜蚝的甜），过后有卤鸭，长寿面最后的甜品是椰盅（雪蛤炖在椰子里）。

我和我的可爱小堂弟整个晚上都会发出尖叫声和面上都会有幸福的表情。

这是一个价值800++一桌的菜。好好好幸福哦！！！

如果能吃到这样的菜色，肥死我也不管了。

Sick!!!

Last evening, when I am on the way for my lesson headache started hunting after me. It continue and causes me to wake up in the middle of the night. Until this morning, my head still continue to have the 'high' feeling.

Migraine start to look for me again. During Jun timing, I have visited Doctor Tan for the same reason. He explained to me that women tends to have migraine before or during their menses. Lack of sleep and over stress are some of the reason to have migraine too.

Of course, my migraine is cause by over stress. Before the lesson I already headache after knowing that I need to re-do my 1st assignment I going to faint.

He said that he hesitate for quite some time but end up still request me to re-do. Almost more than half of the class requires to re-do the assignment. What the hell is hesitate for quite some time for!!!

After Ivy and I 自我催眠 we no choice have to accept the fact...

Prawns

We will be having Company BBQ cum Chalet this Monday. I am in-charge to buy prawns for this BBQ.

Today, I followed my mom to the Supermarket to buy "游水的虾" live prawns. I killed lives!!! The prawns are struggling inside the plastic bag!!!

The best part is handling of the prawns...

When I pour the prawns into the sink to process them, some are still alive, they are jumping. I need to cut off their head. Even their heads have been cut off they are still able to move!!! That is disgusting lor.

Before I cut any prawns I try to use scissor to poke poke to test is it still alive, but when I tried to cut off the head for one of the prawn, it is struggling. I am damn shock.

I will not buy anymore live prawns le...

My mom cannot stand my speed of processing and the way I poke poke the prawns. She start to scold me. Between us we got funny conversation as below:

Mom: Can you do it faster? You must hold the prawn firmly and stop poking at the prawns.
Me: No choice la. Some of the prawns still alive ma.
Mom: You choose to buy live prawns ma, of course it is still alive.
Me: I need to test are they really dead ma.
Mom: Then you took those that are not moving one lor.
Me: Who's know the prawn is it forge death.

To prove that I am correct, the above dead prawn incident happens.

Kit's Birthday Celebration

We have decided to celebrate Kit's birthday at AquaMarina. Well, it is expensive, it cost $58++ per person.

Frankly speaking the food is really so so. The variety of the food is not a lot. Their special is the grilled King Prawn and drunken prawns. The drunken prawns are nice, tasty soup and fresh prawns. On the other hand, the grilled King Prawn is not nice at all. The meat is too 'rough'. But their service is really good, constant refill of water, clear the plates when I back with more food, folded napkins.

Conclusion, try this if you have spare cash.

To sideline a bit, I have funny relationship with my boss. It is common to have unusual conversation with him.

For example:

Me: Can explain to me what you write to xxx? (The email is written in Jap)
Him: Pls wait until my meeting end.
(In between conversation skip)
Me: Not only you busy ma! I am busy also!!!

This is the most daring conversation between him and I. But he seems not angry!!! The surround colleague is shock by my reply...

Lost!!!

I have tried my best in my studies and manage my work at the same time.
But the result still... Of course not fail but not up to my expectation.
Maybe I am not the cut in Business course...
Lately, lack of motivation to do my assignment and I do have the idea to stop my studies.

Can't help feeling lost!!! As if I am stuck in the mud.
How long do I need to overcome this again...
For my work it took me 1 and half years to get over it but I don't have so much time to go through this...

Last minute decision to watch Connected at Orchard Cineleisure. I didn't watch the English version "cellular" but it is very nice movie. It is funny, fast moving pace and full of exciting scene.

After the movie, we go to basement foodcourt to have our dinner. Both of us ordered Steamboat. It is the deja vu feeling. It remind us of the first dinner we have in Taiwan. The ingredients is more or less the same in anywhere but the most important is the paste. In Taiwan, they do have special sauce to go with the food. The paste is mixture of sesame and bean paste. They also have the garlic paste which is soak with special oil and it got very strong fragrant of garlic, very smooth and not spicy at all. Normally, I do not like to eat garlic even it is with chicken rice, but they make the garlic very nice. In Taiwan, they just serve us the pre-mix paste but in foodcourt it is DIY.

I strongly recommend this steamboat @ Cineleisure basement foodcourt. I consider their charges are OK with the fresh ingredients, large serving of greens, meats and rice and the location and environment is nice. It is a combo meal with soup of your choice, generous serving of greens, meat of your choice and rice. Chicken - $5.80, beef or mutton - $6.80 and seafood - $7.80. They have 4 type of soup base, chicken, ginseng chicken, tom yam & ma la. I try the ginseng, they have taste and aroma of ginseng. As weiwei tried the ma la, at the end of the meal he really feel that his lips and tongue went numb.

Try it if the foodcourt is not crowded and you are not in a hurry...

无爸妈的孩子日记（第三到六集）

因为忙于做功课所以没有时间写日记。

第三天 （星期一）


老哥一个俩个放我飞机。叫我煮饭但一个吃饱回来，一个加班。他们的时间是宝贵的难道我是很空闲的吗？明明是OL但像auntie扛着大包小包乘搭地铁，冲冲忙忙回家去煮饭。结果剩菜剩饭一大堆。



第四天 （星期二）


昨晚煮晚餐时顺便做了早餐。包好放在冰箱以方便他们上班时拿了就走。

第五天 （星期三）


用了星期一的剩菜剩饭做午餐。还煮了一点点汤。感谢stella帮我买早餐还载我上班。





第六天 （星期四）


妈妈快回来。。。我要死了。
今天我要向高难度挑战，我要煮黄梨炒饭。饭湿了点，材料不时很足，但是不错的。为了煮黄梨炒饭，我的双手被黄姜给然黄了。

4 and half year anniversary

Calamari Fish & Chip

Seafood platter for 1

He and I been together for 4 and half year. We decided to go Fish Market @ PS to have our dinner. We always see long queue outside that shop so we decided to try it out. Before that Xiao Wen strongly recommend their food and their 会喷火的虾.

He can only able to come after work which will reach around 8.30pm. So I have to shop around while waiting for him. Due to the Fish Market always got big groups of people outside queueing. Thus, I need to go and queue first, so lonely...

Finally, he reached earlier than the waitress bring us to our seat. The whole restaurant is like its shop name Fish Market. It is so noisy in the restaurant, we always can't hear each other voice.

We got a free calamari, which taste so-so. The Fish and Chip is nice but the seafood platter is the best. The cheese or the sauce is tasty, it goes perfectly well with the garlic & butter rice. So heavenly... The serving for one is very generous, I am so full that I can't finish the fries.

Next time when we go again we will try the seafood platter for 2. This have more variety of seafood.

无爸妈的孩子日记（第二集）

Whole day at home doing my assignment. Thereafter, need to do some household chore, like mop the floor and keep the kitchen clean. As I am too lazy to go out to buy my meals, so I need to cook some snack to fill my stomach.

Today I finally go and clear my wardrobe. Wow! it took me 2 hr to clear and pack all stuff. I got handful of clothes that need to iron.

Everyday need to plan my meals, breakfast need to cater for my brother share, lunch hmmm... downstairs canteen food is getting worse, dinner - maybe will skip it... I hope at the end of the whole trip I am able to reduce some weight instead of eating too much junk food and gain weight.

Just not too long ago my brother is asking whether I am cooking tomorrow dinner or not... Cooking for myself and cooking for my brother are 2 different things. Cos I will still eat it no matter how lousy it is but for them err... I always can't gauge how much to cook.

Childhood dreams

Last Sat specially went down to Pasir Ris to celebrate Yoon's daughter birthday and pass by Downtown East. Recently Downtown East has renovated and there are Ferris Wheel and merry go round in the mall.



From young until now, I do not experience merry go round before. Well, I do go to funfair to play all those rides but non of them is merry go round. One thing is that my mom give me very little budget. Secondly, I think it is boring to as it just go round and round, I might as well play something more challenging.



As I grow up, I will start to feel that it is a waste not to try all those rides. I only have a taste of Ferris Wheels when I went to Taiwan. Currently, I still left merry go round still not yet tried. The worst thing is that, merry go round is only for children... As they have weight limit. (If I not wrong) I tried to take the merry go round in sunway lagoon, but the staff stop me.

So my point is that we need to experience all kind of things in different stages of life and don't stop your children having all those stupid rides. (or which you think that it is stupid) Why dress up a young kid according to the current trends. They looks perfectly cute to me when they wear jumper. When an adult wear a jumper, people will feel that she is act cute. Why children try to be an adult while an adult trying to be a children...

So try below simple equation in every stages of life.

无爸妈的孩子日记（第一集）

相应蔡依琳得呼唤“Welcom to Taiwan"，我爸妈飞去了台湾。我爸妈和两个朋友一同参加了七天环岛游。可怜的我就开始了我的无爸妈的孩子日记，以记录我的maid的日子。

昨晚薇民（也就是我男朋友。请不要怀疑，我没有写错他的名字。）在我家过夜，顺便送我爸妈去机场再回自己的家。

通常爸妈不在的第一天是不会发生什么事情。但一大清早就发生一段小笑话，我三哥找不到鞋子就说是不是老爸穿错鞋子。我也没多加理会，一直到他说他不见了三双鞋子我才走出来叫他找另一个鞋橱。

我们都是一群被宠坏的孩子，找不到东西就开口问一下或是爸妈自动的拿给我们。

由于家务事都是爸妈打理的，现在要由我负责好可怜哦！！！这七天要安排自己的三餐还要打扫家里，一想到就头痛。

我经过一个星期的折磨我终于自由了。。。

这一个星期我的大哥和侄儿到我们家来住。Eugene boy 异常的粘我，要我陪他玩。他玩得很疯，拉我头发，捏我，打我。

大嫂终于回来了！！！

不要担心我还是很爱我的侄儿的。

F1 (Part Three)

The winner is Alonso. I thought that Hamilton will be able to catch up but worse of all is he only able to get the third place...

Well, things to consider as per below:

1) First night race held in Singapore. You know why this is the first? Cause hold the race in the day will save power. Don't know how much power have been waste just to light up the whole track. When you are in the track, you will feel that it is broad daylight. Waste money and power. Now oil price is very expensive de lor...

2) Tyres - Have you consider how to do with so many run out tyres? Maybe a lot of new design flat playground will have more swing liao lor.

3) The road is burnt liao lor. So many cars '放屁'on the road.

F1 (Part Two)

Now watching F1 final race in Singapore, got following feelings:

1) I only feel sorry for Massa... What the hell is Ferrari team doing... I am not a fan of F1 but I am angry with Ferrari team. How can they made such a mistake. From the first place to the last. Can't the technician run faster to pull the tube out... ANGRY LEH!!!

2) Winning the race is not only driver effort but both driver and the team. Some team took only 7 sec to fuel and change tyre but the other took more than 10 sec. Imagine you are highly paid just to change tyre...

3) To be continue after the race...

F1

Yesterday, we went down to marina square to take a look at F1 race. There are so many people standing along the race track just to have a glimpse of the F1 race.



The whole track is fence up and cover with banners. People will tear down the banners and some even climb up the tree to have a better view.



As for me, I stand on top of the streets lamp. Hee hee... first time do such things. The sound is so loud that will damage your ears. The location were we stand have cover top. Therefore, the sound is further amplified. My ears are seriously damage ba... After the whole race, I feel my ears are oily...

The cars will pass by you at very high speed which it is impossible to drive at 200 to 300km/hr. The exhaust pipe will be only fire... Will something that singapore cars can't do it.


Actually, nothing much to see. Just a car that pass by you at a very high speed, the only thing you can see is the colour of the car... So watch TV is the best. Without damage your ears, comfy position and extremely nice view. I go for the sake of an experience.



But the very nice feeling is that Hamilton is just 2 lane away from me. The distance is even nearer than I watch SHE, which is across the streets. I know it sound very lame...

幸福and sinful day...

Finally, this sat weiwei not working le...

After my series of complain on breakfast, finally I got my 爱心早餐. Hee hee... this is a small surprise for me. Even it is slightly oily, squarish bread, not nice looking fried egg and cold baked beans. (Sorry dear, you know that I am Food and Nutrition student) But after all he need to wake up earlier to prepare this for me. So Sweet of him...

So my return gift to him is to help him massage. After a few days of hard work and long hours of standing so I help to massage his legs. 我不是一个只会搜取的人，我也会付出的。

Cockroach able to come out on sat 3pm only... So we shop for awhile and go to old airport road to search for nice food for our dinner. This is weiwei request oh!!!

We ordered Fried Prawn Noodle, Claypot Rice and dessert...

Fried Prawn Noodle - So So only but very fresh ingredient. The Sotong is Q but not hard.

Claypot Rice - Will not go for it again... It got very nice aroma but once you eat it you will feel the difference. The rice is low quality type, cause the rice is not the whole grain and it is not sticky. Stickiness got nothing to do with the soy sauce but the quality of the rice itself. Too little chicken...

We order 糖水 for our dessert, 鸳鸯 and 芋泥. This is not as nice as the store in Chinatown but the store name is about one of the famous 糖水store in Chinatown market. The one is Chinatown market is 二姑糖水but the old airport road one is 三姑糖水.

午餐肉的魅力。。。

对我而言午餐肉的魅力或许不能像咖啡一样吸引着我。但对我同事而言，午餐肉和她们就好比咖啡和我的关系。

公主和自称是蜡烛的人顶着大太阳过马路到超市买一罐午餐肉和一袋面包又回公司。午餐肉好歹也要开罐头，切片才能享用。在短短一个小时午餐时间里要做那么多东西也愿意。

我不能相信的是，肥老板要载我们出去吃午餐时，只要太阳猛烈一点，蜡烛会说出去吃饭会他头会疼。。。午餐肉的魅力可真大。

亲爱的读者，

午餐肉可别多吃。它毕竟是罐头食物, 毫无营养可言。更加要煮过才好使用。

More about me and cockroach...

Me and my unknown driving matters. Cos I seldom drive and do not have a lot of passengers.

1. Love to speed... Well of course I am a slow reactor and does not have good driving skills. Thus, my maximum driving speed is 120Km. Average driving speed is 80 - 110Km. (Of course only driving in expressway then got such speed.)

2. HATE TRAFFIC JAM. Like that how to speed!!! Traffic Jam is a torture to me... Move a little bit then brake, slow like tortoise. Cockroach got wings, know how to fly de lor...

3. Initially when driving cockroach, I will have cold sweat. My palms and thighs will sweat no matter how cold the air con is.

4. N times that I have mistaken brake and accelerator, but I do not "kiss" any car before.

5. I only have 3 back passengers record. My parents and Kit.

6. Drive mainly in night timing. Cockroach only can come out at night ma...

7. Still don't know how to park the car.

8. I NEVER wash cockroach before. But I do pay money to ask others to help to bath cockroach... After all cockroach is the 大老婆 and I am the 情妇.

9. I do not place any soft toys, pillow and etc inside cockroach. Cause like that easier for weiwei to look for next girlfriend ma!

Wonder of wonder (WOW)

Last Friday, I have a chance to watch some of the games from Paralympic. Some of the athletes able to touch my heart and make me cry. I really can use 残而不废 to describe them. Especially the goalball.

Each team have 3 members and they all have hearing impair. The court have 2 goalpost at each side. The goalpost is slightly shorter than a man height and about the length of 3 man. They have to throw the ball to the other team goalpost to score a point. The ball is made up of plastic and there are bells inside to allow the player to hear where the ball is. The other team need to use their body to block the ball entering the goalpost.

There is this shot that is corner ball, which is so nicely thrown just about one inch to hit the goalpost. I wonder they took how long to practise this. Even soccer player have high chances that they hit the goalpost, let alone these athletes are blind.

Another game is Wheelchair Rugby, those wheelchair design are combination of normal wheelchair and baby pram. They have the base of the pram which they broader to reduce the risk of falling off and faster movement while turning. Normal wheelchair design is for them to move to the direction they want to.

They are not as rough as Rugby but they make me feel like 碰碰车. Cause the both team they will rush forward and knock onto each other wheelchair.

I am so amazed by all these athletes, they are able to live their live to the fullest. How about you and me...

肚脐的真相。。。

昨日特别用棉花棒清洗肚脐。往往都需要清洗好一段时间，但这一次的清洗好像更容易多了。我左思右想，我的结论是我变胖了，应为面积变大了所以很好清洗。要不然我没有别的理由好解释。

进日我营养过度，饭局不断，盛情难却。只有鞠躬尽瘁，为我的嘴解馋，但可怜了我的肚子。中秋节又即将到来，平日受我们采购员爱戴的公司会陆陆续续的买月饼上门。结果我被他们把嘴巴给弄叼了，只挑好吃的。

体重机不是我的朋友，它只会告诉我我不想知道的真相。面对它我会避而远之，我已对我同事宣布过了中秋节我会减肥。大家拭目以待吧！！！

8 Sep'08 (Sat) - increase of my car knowledge & my dinner

As cockroaches is an weekend car, thus sat only able to come out at 3pm. Weiwei feel that his cockroaches back tyre having air leakage problem then we rush down to the workshop to repair the tyre.

I seldom went to workshop with him as it is rather dirty but he want me to go into the workshop and see how the worker check whether the tyre have air leakage problem. First, they brush some soap water on the tyre, if their is hole on the tyre there will have fine air bubble coming out. If not they will apply the soap water on the head of the air pump intake. So cockroach problem is the head issue hence they need to change the new head. I watch the uncle skillfully using the machine to take out the tyre from the rim, change the head and fit the tyre back to the rim.

I always feel that cars is a very troublesome things. It does not concern only how to drive a car and without having accident and weekly washing your love car. But more problems likes which part of the car went wrong, the car insurance, road tax and etc. If I were to drive a car, surely I won't notice the tyre air pressure and etc. I conclude that it is better for me to drive weiwei car... Ha Ha Ha...

After the workshop, kind of feeling hungry. I suddenly remember of Yoon's recommendation of finding good food in old airport road. Well, we got a hard time finding old airport road cause I never been there before and the driver remember wrongly where it is located. Hence, finally need to call to yoon for help. With his help, we finally found the market. I behave like a excited kid, everything is so wow to me. There are so many stores selling different things and so many people queueing up for their food. I have watch the TV program 肥超人recommend this store call 吃爽爽. They sell all those fried fritters stuff, one of it is 3 in 1. Which is using Yam, rice cake 年糕 and green bean to fried. It is so so for me cause I don't really like the green bean but the rice cake is very sticky and it is not so sweet. The flour they use is good, the whole thing is very crispy.

As for our main course, we took some time to decided... The fried kuey tiao constantly got people queueing up, the steamboat looks tempting and there are always empty plate of Pasta on the tables. So finally, we decided to eat the porridge. They got my favour, fish and century egg porridge and we order another raw fish 鱼生 as side dish. They porridge with you tiao some more, my stomach can't really take more of it... (Dear sec sch sister, I know I turn down the dim sum outing as the day before got my company dinner but the temptation of the food down here is very very strong.)

News that make me go mad

By right today is my cousin wedding but due to limited seats, hence the children won't have a chance to attend it. During today's lunch I have mention to my colleague that I am disapproved of my cousin wedding arrangement as they only have 4 to 5 table. The bride is my second uncle 2nd daughter. None of the relative likes the wedding arrangement of both daughters, but anyway it is their own business...


My cousin secretly ROM with the guy without informing all relatives, well I can accept the fact that they want a quiet ROM. The guy just stay with my uncle and aunt after the ROM. I am not too sure whether he do pay any rental or allowance. They just rent out their flat to others and use the rent to pay the housing loan.

They guy simply refuse to hold any wedding dinner, buffet and etc. My aunt finally give in to the guy and told them that all the red packet will go to them as long they hold a small wedding dinner. The day before the wedding, my aunt have an argument with the groom. As my aunt was an Indonesian, their relative is coming to attend their wedding. My aunt inform that their Indonesia's relative red packet will be pretty small.Thus, she request that all Indonesia relative red packet will got to my aunt. The guy start to argue with my aunt and that guy actually call to the restaurant to cancel off the wedding dinner!!! My aunt so angry that she kick the guy out of the house and requested my cousin to divorce with him. My aunt need to inform all relatives that the dinner have been cancel. I have to said luckily that my cousin colleagues are not invited to this wedding. Else, how is she going to face the world.

Basically, Singaporean wedding is that the bride parents will request for certain number of tables in the wedding table. All the costs will be bear by the groom and the red packet that is collected from these tables will belongs to the bride's parents. As Singaporean do not really give a lot of dowry.

Once I hear this news I am so mad. My aunt is not asking a lot... I mean the parents have a hard time upbringing their child, providing them education and etc. Now your daughter is going to be someone else daughter and the surname will switch to the groom surname. Of course, it is OK to have some money involve. Futhermore, you will never know how much your relative will give you and it is some kind of risk lor.

Frankly speaking both my cousin and the guy should be quite well paid. Surely, they are able to afford the wedding dinner. Moreover, it is hold at a restaurant that where we are able to get special discount due to my 3rd uncle working down there.

I am so mad.... I mean where on earth does this guy come from, do he know a word call embarrass. I really feel that he is the worst guy on earth. Who the hell is he, to make my cousin so heart break and lost all the "face". Those shotgun married couples also have proper weddding. I really don't mind whether the dinner is hold at ballrooms, restaurants, CC or even kopitiam zi cha. As long both couple is happy and they will get all the blessing from the guests. Why things turn out this way because of the unknown red packet amount.

Girls out there please state you agreement/contract and etc best before your ROM. I believe that love make people blind, you may end up regretting. Everybody that go to register for ROM wish for a life long relationship but things will not go your the way you want. Pre-agreement will have better negotiation power and it will save a lot of future trouble. Wedding is not really just a thing between 2 person, it involve the whole family. You are able to judge whether both side parents able to stay in harmony from the way they organise the weding.

My Watch

I just got a new watch from my sec sch friends for my birthday present. They just pass it to me during our Sister's Outing which is about 2 weeks ago.This watch is a specific request from me. One thing is that to save the trouble to look for my present and secondly I really love this watch. I found this watch in Suntec. (I think the shop name is In Q Box) This shop is full of racks and people is able to rent the box to sell their stuff. It can be jewellery, watches or etc...

Ever since, I stepped into this shop I fall in love with the watches. The characteristic of the watches is that they need to be wind. Well in the modern world we got batteries operated watches, kinetic watches or even solar watches. But those watches that need to be wind are almost history to me. I only know the exist of such wind watches through my primary schools science teacher. Of course, I am aware that such watches still exist and it took very good craftsman to make one and they are damn expensive.

I love to watch the mechanism moving inside the watch, they mesmerise me. I will never get bored to keep on watching how the mechanism works and every little details that makes the watch complete. Another thing is that the second hand, it do not ticks but it is constantly moving. Err... It sound quite lame, but normal watches they only ticks. So far only the Seiko watch that I have given to weiwei that do not ticks.

For the past one weeks I have been wearing almost everyday. The only problem I face is I need to wind the watch. There are time that I have forgotten to wind the watches and unable to keep track of the time. Normally, it won't create a very big problem for me but this evening case is very funny one. I went to toilet 15 mins before our working hour end but the moment I step out of the toilet, I found the environment is very strange. The meeting area all light are off but my watches shows it still got 5 mins before our working hour end. Anyway, just happily walk back to my desk and then I figure out that our working hour ended 5 mins ago. My watch have stopped... Just another funny thing that happen in my daily life.

Unless you look at the moving second hand else you won't know that the watch have stopped moving. Anyway, people will only take a quick look at the watch to know the time but nobody will stare at the second hand to check whether it is still functioning. I will try to wind it daily...
